Studies have proved that body language says more than words! It also helps determine the level of professionalism an individual has. If you can read the body, you can determine how an individual truly feels about a project or subject matter. As an employee, you must understand body language of your boss to understand their mentality without them having to speak. This knowledge opens the door for you to become closer to your boss. In most of the cases, employers are never likely to offer more time to their employees due to thier busy lifestyle. Understanding body language allows you to continue to work effectively under these time constraints. Here are some obvious body cues:

Body Language Of Your Boss
  • Maintain same position at the time of sitting and standing
  • Front direction of face
  • Sit and stand close to employee while in group meeting
  • Comfortably enter into the office rather than staying at the door
Make sure you study both the positive and negative cues. In the case of negative body language your boss cannot look at you directly or they will not stand and sit with you. When there is tension, your boss can place his or her hand on hips and while in a group he or she can avoid you and ignore you. You can also study their facial expressions. While they are mentally relaxed, they are also facially relaxed specifically around the eyes and lips. When they are tensed, then you will see excess movement of eyes and excessive blinking.

However, if you happen to encounter an improper position of arm and hand of your boss then this is an in aggressive position. They are livid. Your boss can manage many things in the office, so you do not over react, it may not be directed toward you. Reactions of your boss may change due to various workplace issues know the situation or reasons first before reacting. You can make your professional life smoother and easy by understanding “what your bosses body language says”.

What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
