Job Responsibilities

Operational Planning and Delivery



As an Application development manager, you have to assist in the development of the strategic plan for all operational activity. You have to constantly implement and monitor the annual and medium term operational programs, plans and projects to meet overall objectives and targets. In doing so, you need to ensure that project teams communicate effectively with all functions as necessary so that quality work is delivered on time. You will be accountable for the effective financial management of the Operations team. You have to prepare annual budgets for functional and support costs. You will be responsible for managing the budget for all projects and related activities for research and development. You need to know the company budget in order to decide how much to invest in the present and plan for future.

Staff Supervising

You will be responsible for supervising and evaluating employees and their job performance. You need to set rules and policies in the workplace to ensure effective implementation and adherence among in each and every employee in the organization. As an application development manager, you will be required to give directions to employees on certain job tasks, resolve problems concerning employee's work performance and plan work schedules. In some cases, you may also be responsible for hiring new employees.

Decision Making

As an application development manager, you will be facing many issues like shipment delays, client's dissatisfaction, employee problems, risk management and other business related issues. You have to solve these issues by making effective decisions which will not only help the company run smoothly but also help in serving difficult situations in the future.

Computer skills like Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point is essential. Previous experience in working with teams and project management gives priority to your resume.

Salary

Salaries range between $33,500 to $ 72,000 annually and vary by industry and experience. Most of the packages include medical and other benefits.
