Cyber security has become a hot issue. Cyber security is being offered at colleges and universities in their general terminology programs like information security, network security, IT and even in criminal justice programs.

Cyber security is expected to become one of the hottest growing fields with massive job growth in the coming decade. Most of the world having dependent on computers and the Internet for their information have made cyber security a top priority. Individuals who are trained in cyber security careers will be in demand as the government and businesses are devoting a large portion of their budgets in protecting their computers and data.

Cyber crime has become an increasing problem for companies with fraud and identity theft growing rapidly including cyber terrorism, cyber warfare and corporate espionage causing security issues and data loss. When computers and hardware break, someone must be able to recover the data and information. These careers will also be needed in the corporate world as well securing eCommerce data, banking information, medical records and even small brick and mortar businesses will need cyber security. Securing important data like social security numbers and credit card information is a must for any business.



Many of these positions will require a master's or doctorate degree in cyber security, while others will require less training with only a certificate or an associate degree. There is expected to be a shortage of these workers for many years to come. This will allow trained and qualified people with the ability to pick and choose the jobs with the best paying and working conditions.
