One of the top questions that young people ask when making their education and career decisions is which entry careers are currently high in demand. In today's uncertain job market, many fear that they will have a hard time finding work after completing their education. While the economy is still recovering from the latest recession and some jobs are scarce, there are a few career fields that are rapidly expanding.

The information technology field is expected to grow. Computer experts will remain high in demand as technology continues to move forward. Data communications and network systems analysts are especially needed. Data communications analysts are responsible for maintaining large amounts of data as well as keeping it organized and secure. Network systems analysts build, upgrade, and maintain complicated computer systems. They typically work in a corporate setting and help businesses with a variety of technical tasks. Every business, no matter how small or big, needs people who can help develop and maintain wireless networks and computers. For this reason, professionals with all different skill levels and abilities will remain high in demand in the information technology field.

There are also many entry careers in the health care industry. The senior population is growing and people are living much longer due to advances in medicine and science. Trained medical professions will be needed to meet the rising demand for quality health care. Medical assistants are always needed and the demand for their skills will remain high for the foreseeable future. In fact, it is expected to significantly grow in the next few years. Medical assistants perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks in hospitals and private clinics. They are usually required to complete proper training before working. Nurses are very high in demand within the healthcare industry as well. Nursing also happens to be one of today's highest paying entry careers.

Marketing and sales are both very competitive fields but they are also projected to grow in the future. As the economy continues to recover, companies are hiring new employees to increase sales and brand awareness. Consumers are expected to spend a lot more money in the future, and many companies want to make sure that they will be the ones to get it. People who work in marketing are responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for products and services offered by their firm. People in sales, on the other hand, deal directly with customers and clients. As companies are expanding, they will need many new employees in both departments.

While the job market is still tough, the good news is that the economy is finally on the rebound. Several career fields are expected to grow rapidly in the near future. Job prospects in the information technology field were not affected much by the recent recession and will continue to grow. The healthcare industry is also projected to expand as the ageing population grows rapidly. Consumer demand for a variety of products and services continues to increase, and companies will need marketing and sales specialists to meet it. Since all these industries are growing, they will have many opportunities for young professionals looking for entry careers.
