The permit expires when the pharmacy manager is no longer performing pharmacy type work or if they would choose to disobey the law.

An inventory must be done within 10 days of taking over from another pharmacy manager to ensure the entire inventory and record keeping is correct.

The pharmacy manager will be responsible for the keys to the pharmacy. Making sure all old stock is pulled is another aspect of the duties of a pharmacy manager. There must be plans for every contingency whether it is a natural disaster, a robbery, accidental mishaps, or discrepancies in the amount of medicines you are supposed to have and the ones that are actually in the pharmacy. The all around responsibility of the pharmacy belongs to the pharmacy manager no matter what happens.

Along with all the responsibilities of a pharmacy manager comes a pretty decent pay scale. The pharmacy manager who has been in this profession for less than a year makes up to $70,000. However, after having been in the business for one to four years it is quite possible to be making over $100,000 per year. The need for pharmacy managers as well as other workers in this field is expected to rise over the next 10 years.
