The incumbent will participate in and lead workflow process improvement projects. This role will develop and implement self-sufficient and sustainable process improvement initiatives to ensure efficient and quality service. This includes evaluate the current process and design, model and implement a new or modified business processes or organizational structure with the intent to support both internal customer goals and objective. They will conduct Continuous Service Improvement activities, prepare reporting and operational reviews (and document processes to drive transparency and accountability.
Incumbent will serve as a liaison between multiple departments to identify sources of waste and recommend a solution that aligns the goals of all impacted departments. In addition will apply lean tools and methodologies to remove non-value added activities and waste as well as improve processes. Periodic assistance for unique special projects may be required on occasion.
*Support the Internal Audit team and work to identify business and operational process enhancements to create solutions to make the business run more efficiently and effectively. Set clear objectives, monitor progress, take corrective action and control performance levels.
*Liaison with management to communicate and address issues identified during process review. Be alert to changing situations, show flexibility in approach, adaptability in difficult circumstances and continuously strive to achieve a result.
*Consider problems as a challenge, collect information relevant to the problem, be disciplined in ascertaining the root cause, identify and develop a practical solution, communicate the findings and implement action to resolve the problem.
*Assist with various administrative duties including selection of projects, cost control and special projects.
*Continuous department improvement through such things as internal and external benchmarking.
Self-directed and effective working independently, yet collaborative and comfortable working with teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, using a variety of communication methods to build productive relationships. Takes responsibility for understanding others. Prioritize and complete tasks with a concern for all the details and deadlines involved; monitors and checks work for accuracy.
The incumbent must also be effective in managing self motivated, highly skilled work teams composed of individuals from differing cultures. This role is likely to require a diplomatic approach and working within policies, rules and procedures. Flexibility as to assignments, multitasking, international and cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work the hours necessary to complete projects timely are also important attributes.
