Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of machine shop operations including mold and fixture design, CNC programming, machining (manual and NC), and maintenance of shop equipment.



Strong leadership skills.

Strong computer skills required

CNC Milling Machine experience required.

Background in CNC Programming required, (Surf-Cam preferred).

Machine shop skills on the following pieces of equipment: EDM, lathe, vertical milling machines and precision measuring devices as well as typical manual shop equipment.

Ability to read engineering prints, standard and true position tolerance.

Excellent mechanical aptitude.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment.

Ability to communicate well with others and contribute as a team member.

Strong work ethic and process-improvement mind-set.

History of working independently within manufacturing, quality and safety guidelines.

Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Must have excellent verbal communication skills.

Excellent attendance record.

Must be able to routinely lift 50 pounds.

Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.


Working knowledge of elastomer tooling

Knowledge and experience with solid modeling (ACAD, Pro E and Solid Works).

MS Word and Excel

Education/Previous Experience Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Technical school certificate of completion in machining/machine programming or a minimum of five (5) years machinist/programmer for vertical milling centers preferred. Five (5) years experience in mold/tool design and CNC programming desired. Journeyman tool and die maker desired.
