Receives payment or sets up financing terms on each transaction. Provide in-person customer assistance in completing returns, even exchanges, service requests, credit adjustments, reselections, checking status of merchandise and providing account information. Relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls.Duties would include:Ensure quality customer care in each point of sale transaction. Ensure quality customer care in each point of contact on the phone. Provide in-person customer assistance in completing returns, exchanges, price matches, checking status of merchandise and providing account information. Accurately apply policies and procedures while conforming to quality performance standards and critical measures. High school diploma/GED Six months of customer service experience preferred. Six months of cash handling experience preferred. Knowledge of general credit information preferred. English/Spanish bilingual speakers preferred. Experience with a 10 key adding machine preferred. Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs. Ongoing, acceptable credit required. Working knowledge of computers required. 16 years of age or older

Nebraska Furniture Mart, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, is the largest home furnishing store in North America selling furniture, flooring, appliances and electronics. NFM was founded in 1937 by Mrs. B (Rose Blumkin) in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1983, Mrs. B sold a majority interest to Berkshire Hathaway. NFM now has three stores, located in Omaha, Nebraska, Kansas City, Kansas, and Des Moines, Iowa. A fourth store is expected to open in The Colony, TX in the spring of 2015. Born outside of Minsk, Russia, in 1893, Rose Gorelick followed her husband, Isadore Blumkin to America in 1917 to take on the American dream. By 1922, the young couple had scraped together enough money to have her family flee Russia and join them in America.
