How will you invent the future? As a Compliance Developer at Mercks Austin IT HUB, you will be part of inventing tomorrow. Our Innovative centers are where great people come together and deliver solutions that save and improve lives. We are seeking motivated talent interested in solving problems to improve tomorrow. You will: * Work in conjunction with the Global Human Health Compliance team to ensure that Merck stays compliant with US government regulations and corporate policies in a dynamic, changing workspace * Design, develop, test and implement new solutions to existing products in support of the business client * Collaborate with internal IT teams including for upstream and downstream applications, as well as infrastructure teams, to execute related projects deemed priorities by business areas * Write technical documentation including, but not limited to high level architecture diagrams and design documents * Expand knowledge of established tools, and have the opportunity to utilize new technologies * Interact with multiple external vendors to ensure that data and processes are validated and executed properly, and implement integration changes as required You will work and learn more about: * Pharmaceutical business in the US Market * Samples management * Government transparency reporting at the federal and state level * Development in various languages including Oracle PL-SQL, Unix\/Linux, VB.Net, Teradata * Validated system Qualifications Education: * Bachelor Degree inIT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Required: * Minimum of2 years ofOracle PL-SQL & Unix programming * Unix\/Linux coding * End-to-end Software Lifecycle development experience * Critical thinking * Attention to detail * Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred: * Data analysis * Incident management * Version control * Background in corporate or government compliance * Knowledge of Informatica, VB.Net, SAS, Teradata Your role at Merck is integral to helping the world meet new breakthroughs that affect generations to come, and were counting on your skills and inventiveness to help make meaningful contributions to global medical advancement.
