Data Analyst/Application Support
Application Support/Data Analyst The Application Support/ Data Analyst will find solutions through system analysis. The Application support/Data Analyst will be expected to support exisiting software solutions developed using VB.net. This position will be called upon to support all aspects of technology throughout the paratransit system as a member of the IT Team. Major Responsibilities: Delivers Tier 1 and 2 application support and maintenance services, confers with users routinely to identify application needs, and work to incorporate desired results through development modifications with tier 3 Corporate IT staff. Responds to TrackIT tickets to investigate & resolve issues and to ensure they don’t reoccur. Provides support & maintenance of various applications including Trapeze ViewPoint BI dashboards, Transit Instruction documentation application, Driver Scheduling Feedback application, iReports, and others. Ensures proper documentation and works with DBA and operational staff to investigate & resolve any data discrepancies to ensure reports are accurate, consistent & valuable. Test systems and works with users and IT staff to debug systems and help to make improvements Ensures the Application Support deliverables provided through a Managed Services model with SLA Understands program development, logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections Scheduled and occasional ad-hoc BI reporting to make key business decisions Monitors performance of applications and continuous improvement Understands, writes and maintain documentation on data dictionary, reporting logic, program testing, changes, and corrections. Experience & Skills Required: Applicant should possess a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, with relevant computing experience. 2-3 years programming experience in either a client/server or web environment with Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, Visual Studio, & and .Net languages. Knowledge of RDBMS coding languages such as T-SQL, and the .NET Framework Proficiency in report development. Ability to create new dashboards, views etc. Knowledge of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) methodologies associated with Service Management. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Able to communicate clearly and effectively. Able to learn new technology and/or functional areas quickly and thoroughly Able to work in a team environment, while being self-directed to accomplish tasks individually. Able to work in an energetic, fast-paced, and dynamic environment. Able to work extended hours as needed including acting as a primary after hours contact on a rotating schedule.
