Manages the design, development, maintenance and safety of complex databases.
Provides a strategic level of technical leadership to the database programming group, IT, and the enterprise.
Directs other IT functions to develop and improve databases and master files. Coordinates software issues with other IT organizations.
Performs technical audits of all internal databases. Performs functions such as backup and recovery, database consistency checking, loading and unloading data.
Establishes policies and procedures related to data security and integrity; monitors and limits database access as needed.

Weekend 12% Differential
Flextime covering core hours for shift and may including working weekends as a standard activity with possible participation in an on-call rotation as well as providing off hours assistance for occasional projects.

Required Education and Experience:
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5 years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.

As a Database Manager Senior in the Database Operations organization, you will be located in the Robinson Township (Pittsburgh area) PNC location, although Cleveland/Columbus locations will also be considered.
As part of the Service Operations Technology team, you will support an ITSM model for First Level Database Administration. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience with at least one DBMS (Oracle or MS SQL) and interest and ability to learn the other at basic level quickly. Preference for core experience on MS SQL and at a minimum basic understanding of Oracle with an interest and ability to perform as a team leader when required.
Position is Saturday & Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and two other 8 hour daylight shifts that can flex each week on Monday through Friday. Candidate must be able to work off hours as needed.
