Lead the company to ensure that corporate compliance is fully institutionalized and managed consistently throughout Xcel Energy. Facilitate quarterly meetings with the Compliance Management Council, direct the daytoday operations of the Council, and coordinate with other senior leaders to ensure matters of corporate compliance and culture are well understood and well executed.
Manage the development of corporate communication and training, in conjunction with Organizational Development and Legal departments, to ensure employees are trained and educated regarding ethical business practices, legal requirements applicable to the Company's operations and the obligations and duties of employees under the Code of Conduct and other compliance policies.
Facilitate quarterly meetings of the Corporate Compliance Council. Develop an annual Compliance report for the Governance Council and the Board of Directors, quarterly compliance updates for the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, and provide regular updates to the Committee to ensure the program is well understood.
Develop, initiate, maintain and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the Corporate Compliance program and its related activities; manage the daytoday operation of the program.
Conduct regular best practices reviews to ensure that the Corporate Compliance program meets and exceeds recognized standards of excellence for educating, monitoring, investigating, and addressing compliance issues.
Oversee and direct the business functions of the Corporate Secretary Office and ensure full compliance with all requirements.
Effectively manage daily activities including hiring, developing, coaching/counseling, administering discipline, establishing key performance measures, terminating, making pay decisions and budgeting.
Bachelor's degree in business, ethics, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in roles of increasing leadership in areas of compliance management, risk control, audit or other areas involving the oversight of processes.
This position requires a behavioral assessment prior to being considered for an interview.
