','!*!The Director of Global Upstream Marketing is responsible for maximizing revenue, market share, and profitability through development of insight-driven product pipelines. S/he is responsible for institutionalizing the innovations process, generating new business and product concepts to drive through development to successful market launch. This position will provide leadership during the product development process as it relates to market needs, portfolio prioritization, opportunity sizing, pricing models, competitive considerations, and clear customer requirements. The Director of Global Upstream Marketing will be a key member of the Marketing Leadership team and has a critical role in development of long-term growth strategy and product roadmaps.

The Director of Global Upstream Marketing will have a wide variety of responsibilities and duties related to the delivery of new ideas as well as building innovation process and capability within the Medical Aesthetics division:

Accountable for the development and execution of the global product pipeline

Accountable for the development and institutionalization of innovation and ideation process, as well as the discipline of capturing and prioritizing customer requirements

Support VP, Global Marketing and Sr. Director of Strategy & Business Development in creation of the strategic plan in regards to anticipating future market trends and strategic opportunities 

Provide guidance and oversight to marketing teams in regards to new and sustaining product pipeline

Guide Brand marketing teams in the definition, depth and breadth of product portfolio, target customers, distribution, pricing, competitive position strategies

Collaborate with Sr. Director of Strategy & Business Development on strategic opportunity assessment and prioritization; inform buy vs. build decision making

Leverage global insights in product pipeline and customer requirements definition

Identify and prioritize unmet needs across key customer stakeholder groups

Ideate winning concepts in sync with business goals and performance metrics

Define core value drivers and product positioning

Identify target markets and customers

Identify and prioritize launch markets globally

Provide global demand forecast, pricing and margin targets for initial new product business case

Develop business justification for new product concepts, features or configurations

Identify new markets, product extensions, and/or applications that will support continued business unit growth','!*!To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary

Strong analytical ability

Team player with demonstrated leadership skills


Bachelor’s degree in business or a scientific discipline is required

MBA is required


12 years of healthcare innovation management experience is required

Additional Details:

Ability to travel required as needed (25%)
