The engineering and business support activities related to the procurement and use of nuclear fuel for the entergy nuclear fleet.
* Responsible for nuclear fuel contract administration and inventory management activities throughout the nuclear fuel cycle. * Responsible for nuclear fuel business support activities related to accounting, finance, forecasting, invoice review and processing, risk management, and nuclear fuel market analysis. * Responsible for nuclear fuel cycle planning activities, including strategic fuel design and utilization evaluations. Maintains detailed financial models to support nuclear fuel planning, forecasting, and accounting. * Responsible for coordinating the Official Entergy Nuclear Operating Schedule. * Responsible for economic analyses related to the development of nuclear fuel reload designs and utilization. * Responsible for supporting data needs for rate cases, audits, external reporting, tax, and other matters related to nuclear fuel.
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering, or a closely related discipline or equivalent experience. (Equivalent experience is defined as demonstrated success at the Engineer level. A master’s degree in engineering or business administration is preferred.)
Minimum experience required of the position
Appropriate years experience for the employed engineer level in reactor engineering, safety analysis, fuel engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Technical proficiency in nuclear fuel management. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation. Outstanding communication, conflict management, and change management skills. Proficiency with current computer business applications.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Professional Engineering (Nuclear discipline) license is preferred.
