OVERVIEW:

Working as Part-Time Environmental, Health & Safety Support, you will be responsible for maintaining the environmental, health, and safety related functions within the region. This will include researching and administering governmental regulations, performing general paperwork such as data entry and filing, assisting with administrative reporting, conducting trainings, and monitoring the safety related functions within the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

o Ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and local health and safety regulations

o Conducting employee orientation and annual safety trainings

o Assisting District Managers with the tools to help all branch personnel complete required safety trainings

o Assisting the Distribution Center and branch employees with hazardous material compliance

o Completing administrative reporting and related clerical duties

o Coordinating compliance with safety standards and assisting with policies and procedures

o Organizing and collaborating with a Safety Committee while monitoring compliance with state and local codes

o Developing and implementing emergency action plans and other safety procedures and policies within the facility

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o A valid driver's license and the ability to meet our driving record requirements

o Excellent oral and written communication skills

o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite

o Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities

o Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

o Willingness and ability to travel while working a flexible schedule

o Ability to lift, slide and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs

o Ability to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY).
