We have an opportunity for a Global IT PMO - Value Management Lead in Oak Brook, IL. We are looking for a project management expert with specific experience designing and implementing project value identification and tracking systems.   Grow with us as you work with a progressive, dynamic group of IT professionals. In your role as the Global IT PMO – Value Management Lead you will help the Kellogg business to continue to grow our business and build on our success.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?The individual is responsible for designing and implementing the Value Management Process for Technology Enabled Programs. This includes all phases of the Value Management Lifecycle:

Creation of a preliminary business case which includes the project value proposition. Requires working with key stakeholders in business and IT to research and frame the project from a value perspective. 

Development of the detailed business case including a formal representation of ROI, NPV, IRR developed in conjunction with finance and benefit owners

Build, Improve and Maintain the Discipline/Methodology of Value Management. This is focused on building a consistent and credible process that enables investment decisions throughout the lifecycle.

Serve and support business process performance management to identify value opportunities.  This includes utilization of outside benchmark data to frame business opportunities and pain points, reaching out to organizations for comparison and knowledge sharing.

Supporting the practice of portfolio management as a means to ensure the alignment of new and ongoing initiatives with the business strategy and direction. Portfolio management will also provide a vehicle for improving insight and oversight into the initiatives contained within the portfolio.

Foster a new culture within IT and IT Projects that considers “success” when business objectives have been achieved (vs. implementation go-live).  This requires working at all levels of the organization (business and IT) to promote diligence in our stage gates, status reporting, and value management processes to keep focused on the desired business outcome. ','!*!WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?At Kellogg Company, we place a huge emphasis on recruiting the best people to help grow our business and build on our success. To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following:


High School Diploma or GED

Exceptional portfolio, program, and project management skills, specifically with business case creation, financial and non-financial benefit identification and measurement.

Extensive experience with designing and implementing measurement systems to collect benefits data, whether through automated reporting tools or manually. 

Advanced skills in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint 

In-depth knowledge of IT processes with understanding of how they operate and levers that impact performance this includes end to end software development lifecycle 

Strong planning, organizational, problem solving, team leadership and teamwork skills 

Ability to build constructive relationships, present ideas and communicate change to all stakeholders  

Strong influencing skills; ability to work cooperatively at all levels in a matrix environment to build and maintain the positive relationships required to accomplish organizational goals

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal/team effectiveness – ability to succinctly and accurately communicate to various levels of management and employees 

Exceptional analytical, strategic, planning, organization, and time management skills to effectively execute project plans and budgets 

Must be a confident, self-starter, self-motivated individual who really enjoys the challenges that come with driving, coaching, training and mentoring groups on process improvement   


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field 

Statistical analysis tool such as MiniTab 

Six Sigma – Blackbelt or Master Blackbelt  

Previous “big” consulting experience is highly preferred for this role as it will require navigation through many different levels of the organization. It will also require significant work on project value propositions from various levels (including executive presentations).  

Clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities of cross- functional project teams and functional management

Excellent decision making skills – ability to negotiate and balance decisions and manage competing priorities across multiple functional areas
