* Provides leadership and management for other personnel assigned to the records management function, including, but not limited to supervision, recommendation of staff selection, career development, training, and evaluations. * Provides direction for implementation / transition to an electronic document and records management system, including collaboration with business units, development of policies, selection of appropriate software systems, and related activities. Works in partnership with the IT department in the evaluation of new software(s) and related repositories to ensure compliance with electronic record retention requirements. * Develops and manages operational procedures relating to management, circulation, and release of information to outside parties and disposition of records where retention requirements have expired, to include researching regulations that govern retention. * Supports all aspects of e-discovery requests to include preservation notices, production notifications and provision of assistance for collection of information as directed. Provides direction for modification and enhancement of specialized software applications pertaining to records retention and e-discovery. * Oversees contractual services with major vendors (such as offsite storage, destruction and scanning services) to include assisting the Supply Chain with preparing specifications, requests for proposals, and monitoring ongoing performance standards. * Participates in professional development programs to stay apprised of current issues and trends related to information management.
* Bachelor’s degree in records management, library science, business or related discipline required. * Minimum 6 or more years of experience in in a corporate or public sector environment, records and information lifecycle or related field required.
