Responsible for all aspects of the industry portion of the Luke Air Force Base F-35 flying operations. Responsible for coordinating/directing all subordinate, multi-company Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in all aspects of the F-35 flying mission.. Acts as the Luke AFB on-site primary customer contact for F-35 flying operations, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss flying schedule and flying technical performance. Provides close coordination directly with the field services director, sustainment program management, Luke Site Director, USAF and country program managers, Academic Training Lead, US government, International partners and foreign military sales for all F-35 Luke industry flying quality and execution. Responsible for the management of the resources required to safely and efficiently work flying quality issues and multi-country F-35 interoperability plans and execution. Serves as LM Luke expert on international training issues, plans, and solutions. Ensures aircraft sortie generation rates, aircraft availability rates, and flying schedules are adequately supported. Ensures accurate and timely metric reporting to all levels of government and industry leadership. Responsible for all aspects of Luke’s industry pilot training mission. Serves as the primary industry representative for all flying issues identified during the daily flying mission and during all levels of flying program reviews. Serves as the on-site representative for all current and future foreign military sales operational activities. Serves as the direct conduit for the Fighter squadron Commanders and the Operations Group Commander. Successful candidate must be able to obtain Special Program assess within a 3 - Month Time Period from date of hire. May be required to work additional hours as required to support the mission. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must have a final secret clearance prior to starting. This position is contingent upon contract award. Basic Qualifications - Master’s Degree from an accredited college with 10 years related experience - Previous Fighter Pilot experience - Requires a history of demonstrated leadership skills (10 years). - Experience in base-level fighter aircraft operations (10 years). - Experience managing large complex workforces. - Experience with US Air Force flying operations. Desired skills - Candidate should possess a broad military fighter aircraft background and advanced interpersonal skills to be effective in a high tempo operational environment. - Ability to effectively communicate with international customers, team with partner companies, and local base authorities critical for success. - Should be an expert in fighter aircraft operations . - Familiarity with F-35 logistics, Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), and low observables would be beneficial. - F-35 Fighter Pilot experience is a plus As a leading technology innovation company, Lockheed Martin’s team of 113,000 people works with partners around the world to bring proven performance to our customers’ toughest challenges.
