Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS), a division of Hubbell Incorporated, engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of transmission, distribution, substation, underground, OEM and communications products used by utilities. Summary: 

The multi-craft maintenance technician position requires extensive working knowledge and skill related to industrial maintenance including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic (PLC). 

Primary Accountabilities:

\tProvides emergency and routine maintenance support to the operations departments
\tTroubleshoots, repairs, and maintains a wide variety of complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment and systems such as motors, pumps, PLCs, production machinery and instrumentation equipment.
\tInstalls new machinery and equipment and moves machinery and equipment to affect layout changes as required.
\tPerforms preventative maintenance activities of all types, including the most critical types requiring extensive dismantling, re-assemble, and critical adjustment, lubrication, and/or calibration.

Qualifications:

\tHigh school diploma or higher; Associates Degree preferred
\t3 years’ experience in an industrial multi-craft maintenance environment
\tAbility to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings.
\tKnowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatics, hydraulic, and mechanical systems; including but not limited to drives, motors, bearings, conveyors, PLCs, and HVAC systems
\tAbility to work with outside OEM Technicians and learn systems from them.
\tAbility to use common power and hand tools typical of industrial mechanical maintenance.
\tTroubleshooter and problem solver
