Mechanical Engineering Technician III

Under supervision, assist engineering in the planning and testing ofelectrical/electronic components using advanced testing equipment including:
electrostatic discharge tester
data acquisition equipment
programmable power supplies
thermal test chambers
Devise and fabricate test fixtures necessary to test components following lab test procedures and specialized test plans including setup and programming of automated test stations.
Generate wiring diagrams for test setups and test fixtures.
Ability to read and understand electronic control schematics.
Proficient computer skills with MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook.
Troubleshoot and repair of electronic/electrical circuits and controls.
Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A two year degree or equivalent is preferred. Requires at least 2 years
related experience. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
