Primary responsibility will be to execute the company's biweekly payroll processes, while providing superior customer service to 5,400 employees of all levels
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform routine biweekly payroll data entry – commissions, deductions, new hires, terms, etc.
Partner with the Payroll and HR Teams at manufacturing sites to coordinate and execute biweekly payroll processing with manufacturing site
Process employee tuition reimbursements through Concur
Process employee garnishment, child support and levy wage attachments, and stay up to date on regulatory compliance requirements
Responsible for accuracy of payroll journal entries and general ledger account reconciliation Manage Retro Pay process in Workday
Work with Payroll Team on acquisition initiatives related to payroll and employee integration
Provide superior customer service to employees with payroll questions
Work with Payroll Team to process special payroll runs (i.e. annual bonus, stock, etc.)
Participate in biweekly payroll communication meeting
Interact with internal (Human Resources, Accounting, and Audit) contacts, and troubleshoot and work with Payroll Team to resolve issues
Interact with external vendors/customers as needed
Assist with maintaining payroll procedures manual and ongoing payroll process improvements
Assist with special projects as needed
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Strong analytical skills and team player with good oral and written communication skills
Ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently
Ability to manage interruptions during the work day to meet employee and company needs
Proficient to excellent skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc.), with a high IT proficiency and innovative thinking
Extensive attention to detail and accuracy
Certified Payroll Processing (CPP) or Fundamentals of Payroll (FPC) certification
3-5 years of payroll processing experience in a multi-location manufacturing environment
Workday software experience
Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and standard payroll practices
Four-year degree in accounting, human resources or related field
Standard, fast-paced office environment. Minimal travel required.
