In support of the Lender Development Program (LDP), this position serves as the primary resource for engaging Credit Unions through national training sessions, communications and tools. This role proactively identifies and assesses credit union performance gaps, the specific performance levers and solutions to enhance program performance, which can be followed by delivery and facilitation of the training and learning tools.
Through facilitation and engagement, act as a key enabler of business results by focusing on national training needs and solutions, to grow participation; This also enables our assigned LPM’s additional focus time to have crucial conversations and strategic discussion to drive results in their assigned credit unions
Understand the business strategies, goals, objectives and financial performance model for LDP
Collaborate with LDP and sales team members to seamlessly and efficiently meet the learning and development needs of our credit union partners on a national level through building and maintaining relationships with internal team and credit union staff
Conduct appropriate and effective needs assessment of the business learning and development current state, and recommend potential solutions to meet those needs
Identify and monitor trends in LDP accounts and the industry to determine potential needs for training resources
Engage credit unions through discussions on LRC/LDP Zone
Monitor and ensure CU optimization performance and trends
Recommend potential solutions for performance gaps that cannot be closed by improving knowledge and skill but may be due to deficiencies in the processes, procedures, and technology or with the organization structure
Proactively identify solutions for credit union needs uncovered in training sessions and other credit union interactions
Document the expected outcomes of significant learning and development investments, measure the true outcomes, and report the results and additional improvement recommendations to the business leader or Credit Union customer
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance, Training or Adult Education, or related field or an equivalent trade-off of related professional work experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of professional training work experience preferably in the financial services industry and adult education
Demonstrated strong facilitation skills to effectively engage participants in a variety of venues including large webcast events
Proven expertise in conducting learning and development needs assessments, key facilitator using adult learning concepts, ability to use virtual tools and technology
Demonstrated strong assessment and consultation skills to recommend creative, targeted, and effective adult learning solutions for a wide variety of needs. In-depth understanding of the credit union business, industry, and market
Working knowledge of or demonstrated ability to quickly learn CUNA Mutual Group’s products and services
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including influencing, consultative assessment, collaboration skills
Effective knowledge and application of leadership competencies (to internally navigate middle-management ranks and engage high-level executives externally), especially oral and written communications, influence and persuasion, coaching and development, results orientation, facilitation, and teamwork
Demonstrated ability to proactively problem-solve focusing on both short and long-term solutions
Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter with a high sense of ownership for area of responsibility/expertise
