SCOPE of Responsibility
Responsible for developing the daily production schedules in alignment with Customer Service and Operational requirements. In addition, the plant planner maintains vendor relations and manages the supply/availability of raw and packaging materials to support the production schedules.
Establish daily production schedules for all Cambridge-made items, generated from long and short-term forecasts including co-pack items, big hits and collaboration of the forecast.
Monitor and make the necessary adjustments to the finished goods, raw materials, and safety stock levels to insure the proper balance between working capital and customer service in order to meet and or exceed established goals.
Manage and coordinate manufacturing needs to insure that the plant is adhering to production schedules, meeting CTI goals and achieving at least a 77% schedule adherence while minimizing labor cost.
Manage the replenishment process for all Raw & Pack materials. Insure that adequate but not excessive inventory levels are maintained in order to meet production objectives.
Insure Customer Service case fill levels of 99% or better are achieved on a consistent basis.
Monitor the APO deployment process to insure that inventory levels remain in balance.
Coordinate all activities as pertain to new product launches including interfacing with the Marketing, Technology and Packaging groups to guarantee all information is set up in SAP on a timely basis, and production plans and demand are flowing to the suppliers.
Coordinate with plant operations engineering, net ops mgr, any maintenance projects, new products, startups, EMOs, etc.
Maintaining open lines of communication with key vendors and sharing information relevant to changes in the business to continue the development of key partnerships.
Develop plant Segmentation for each year
Coordinate Monthly Capacity analysis
Aligns mater data for Cambridge SKU
Project analysis as needed
Manages local Supply Chain activities effectively to maximize global business performance
Understands global category business sand commercial strategies and guides the Supply Chain to deliver against them
Knows the diverse global markets being supplied and makes certain that distinct Customer Service needs are met
Gains knowledge of Marketing and Technology trends and anticipates the impacts on the Supply Chain
Factors competitive trends into investment and operating decisions
Is familiar with the operations and priorities of global suppliers, customers and channels
Optimizes the deployment of equipment and other assets globally
Drives global standardization and simplification opportunities
Develops sourcing strategies for materials and finished goods that optimize Total Delivered Cost and Customer Service
Selects appropriate technologies and vertical integration strategies that meet current and future Supply Chain needs
BS/BA Degree required
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint a must
SAP/APO experience an advantage
3 or more years Planning and/or Logistics experience
Working knowledge of logistics and manufacturing systems
