Provide assistance to the Project Management function with a diverse set of activities. This role will provide the Project Management staff with a support function that will provide a stronger focus on core responsibilities, while increasing efficiency and consistency.
Key Job Accountabilities
Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the project management team. This applies to both business development and billable work.
Responsible for maintaining project data and financial elements within our business systems with direction from the Project Manager. Accurate and timely tracking and projection of project data is critical to customer satisfaction and financial results.
Responsible for supporting the proposal creation process including assembly of all proposal inputs, quote kick-off, and proposal reviews.
Responsible for working with the Site Management team to monitor metrics to reflect the performance of the site.
Responsible for reporting status of assigned projects to the appropriate Project Manager and Plexus customer in an accurate and concise manner.
Actively supports a Lean Sigma culture through mentoring employees on Lean Sigma concepts, support of and participation in Lean Sigma activities (including RIEs and Report-outs), and application of the tools (including but not limited to A3, DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, etc.).
Responsible for support of internal team and customer team meetings with direction from the Project Manager, including direct contact and interaction with Plexus customers.
Support the purchasing and business office functions to help resolve action items and conflicts in support of the Project Management team.
Support the Project Management and Senior Management teams through gathering and presenting of key operational metrics and reports.
Support the Project Management process through contributions to continuous improvement and workflow management.
Demonstrate proficiency using applicable computer systems/tools to ensure timely processing of job accountabilities.
Demonstrates effective organization, prioritization, time management, and verbal/written communication skills.
Maintains knowledge and understanding of Plexus' standard quality policies and procedures as well as customer specific project needs to ensure the project complies with all requirements.
Participate in the maintenance of the quality system, by identifying quality problems, contributing to the development of corrective actions, and supporting the CAPA Process to ensure Plexus consistently provides high quality services.
Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 5%)

Education & Experience
A minimum of a 2 year technical or business degree or equivalent experience is required for this position; a CE/EE Associates or AAS in Management is preferred.
Experience of less than 1 year is required for this position, assuming education requirements are met. Equivalent industry experience of or more years is highly desirable.
Experience of 1 year of direct engineering support experience is desirable.
