Responsible for the day-to-day janitorial operations and administrative activities to ensure conformance to contract requirements. Develops and implements cost control measures and level of service standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications / contract requirements for a premier high rise office building located in downtown Detroit. Oversees inspections, quality control measures, and the inventory control of equipment and supplies.
Coordinate service activities for assigned building. Ensure that services are performed as contracted at the intended profit margins.
Control supplies, equipment and personnel necessary to meet customer specifications and conducts quality of service inspections.
Responsible for implementing and evaluating safety efforts supporting company policy and client expectations with a focus on incident prevention.
Develop operational improvement plans and implements process changes.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and all federal, state and local government regulations.
Ensure that all paperwork, including terminations, labor variance action plans, and operational model is complete and accurate and submitted timely.
Analyze and manage, in a proactive manner, both the financial and operational performance.
Ensure that payroll is accurate and submitted into Blueforce in a timely manner, correct any payroll discrepancies.
Interact with customer's daily to obtain feedback on services and special needs. Trouble shoot potential problems and concerns.
Work with District Manager and Branch Manager to develop and action plan for all invoices that are outside of the contractual parameters.
Manages and provides leadership to Supervisors, and Lead personnel assigned to this account.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of personnel. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Participate in regularly scheduled safety audits, risk assessments, inspections, and meetings to determine the effectiveness of safety and accident prevention activities, and to ensure compliance with all applicable safety directives.
Conduct regulatory and safety awareness training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
BS/BA in Business preferred. Will accept experience in janitorial or property management in lieu of a degree.
Requires 3 to 5 plus years of supervisory experience in a service/customer orientated environment.
Ability to develop and conduct effective health, safety, and environmental training programs and meetings.
Skilled in project management, problem-solving techniques and communicating ideas and instructions clearly.
Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Computer, telephone, fax, copier – general office equipment.
Requires excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point.
