The Military Outreach Recruiting Manager is responsible for leading the outreach efforts, driving the strategy and supporting all military themed recruiting events for the enterprise. This individual works closely with recruiting leadership, hiring managers, supported program leadership and recruiters to develop strong relationships with veteran and military organizations, veteran groups linked to associations, unions, colleges, etc., to create partnerships and to generate and hire veteran and military candidates.
Develop an overall recruiting strategy for Veteran hiring.
Execute and implement the military and veteran talent strategy; develops and implements new ideas that support the development and execution of the strategy.
Identify gaps and recommends enhancements related to new and/or existing military and veteran recruiting strategies.
Oversee Veteran program management reporting including the monitoring and tracking of progress and ensures the organization is meeting its goals.
Position DynCorp International as an employer of choice for veteran and military candidates.
Consult with internal stakeholders to scope/define projects, events and initiatives that expands the pipeline and hiring of veterans.
Build relationships within Veteran organizations to create and maintain a funnel of highly qualified veteran talent.
Maintain effective collaborative relationships with various military Transition Assistance Program offices, Military Installations and other resource groups that support Veterans, spouses and Wounded Warriors.
Identify and attend military themed career fairs and other community and professional recruitment events to pipeline talent.
Provide support at networking events and career fairs.
Conduct telephone and in-person interviews to evaluate applicants and refer qualified candidates to Recruiters and Hiring Managers.
Develop and communicate tracking metrics to leadership.
Coordinate with other recruiting managers and WRSS leadership to ensure that developed veteran recruiting strategies align with supported program objectives.
Complete and submit responses to all military employer surveys from military/military friendly/business publications and websites for “Best of” recognition for military veteran support, military friendly employers, employers to work for and etc.

Translating veteran experience to corporate skills.
Experience and understanding of military culture
Understanding of Military skill sets from all branches of the Armed Forces.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of employment laws.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, & Outlook.
Skilled in utilizing Applicant Tracking System programs, specifically Taleo.
Proficiency with Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel & Outlook.
Experience & Education
Ten (10) years of recruiting experience, with at least three (3) years of military recruiting.
Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline preferred.
Prior military service preferred.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions.
Travel may be up to 60%
