Lead in management reporting standardization for transparencies (both Huntsville & Sylmar) including ACT and other monthly reports. Manages annual budget process for transparencies, the estimate process including 3 9 Est, 6 6 Est, 9 3 Est, and the BSR reporting. Also responsible for preparing monthly estimates, annual budgets, month end management reports including day 3 and day 6. Able to present financial results during day 3, 6 and others. The incumbent becomes the resident financial EE subject matter expert (SME), and act as a business partner with local manufacturing cells by spending time on the manufacturing floor and with the manufacturing team. Periodically will act as the ranking finance person for the facility / business segment, including being a local business partner.
The incumbent is the gate keeper and the primary contact for Sales, inventory, fixed assets value, annual capital spend, projections, and capital authorization process. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance for all elements related to the financial management of the facility or business segment. This may include billing, preparing the monthly financial accounts, in conjunction with financial shared services, and completing all the required post close reporting and account reconciliation management. Also responsible for ensuring that all internal controls are maintained at the required PPG / SOX level, including updating the annual ICSP. This role will also administer the SOD process for both sites. Participates in external and internal audits conducted, will be responsible for internal self-assessment and audit program across both facilities.
Responsible for maintaining relationship with all key personnel at facility / business segment, to ensure that the finance team is actively engaged in providing information to department managers and support better decision making through engagement and supporting analysis. Completing other ad hoc analysis for platform including specific program profitability, potential new business, and other. Occasionally will be required to support SBU projects on acquisitions, and other process improvement projects. ','!*!Requires:
Bachelor’s degree related business field. A master degree, or other professional accounting qualification is desirable. At least five years’ experience, in finance. With 2 years of experience in PPG finance, preferred. The incumbent must possess overall business acumen, interpret and understand competitive financial information, and prepare and justify financial analysis for new products, processes, or value-added functions.
