Senior Instructional Designer','7410-2410','LifePoint Health Support Center','!*!The Senior Instructional Designer oversees the design, development and implementation of learning and talent development projects. The individual supports the organization in the areas of instructional design, instructional technology, and execution of organizational development priorities.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.  

Design, develop, and implement learning initiatives, organizational development interventions, and informational presentations (including instructor-led training, eLearning courses, leadership content, and email communica-tions) to support learning initiatives.

Design content and programs with a focus on the integration of learning in the participants' work environment.

Determine appropriate learning delivery methods in the context of development needs, audience, and organiza-tional culture.

Manage multiple projects while working effectively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and appropriate resources.

Collaborate to identify priority learning and development needs, and conduct assessments to identify training needs and requirements.

Perform quality assurance of courses, presentations, and learning and development communications.

Assist instructors in evaluating effectiveness of training programs.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.

Exhibit an understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).  Skilled in the application of poli-cies and procedures.  Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience: Minimum 5 years of instructional experience (emphasis on leadership development preferred).

Skills and Abilities:

Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and in-terpret graphs.

Advanced Computer Skills -- Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, and learning technologies etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, courses, and presentations to support business objectives.

Complex Communication -- Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with management. Can present, resolve and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others.

Varied Business Problems -- Problems are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedents and practices. 

Department Specific -- Decisions impact the management and operations within a department. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department.

Moderate Independent Judgement -- Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow: supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.

Project Management Planning/Organization -- Handle multiple projects simultaneously including task delegation, project oversight, and resource allocation.

Required specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Works in well-lit, ventilated and climate controlled office environment with routine office equipment; some equipment has moving mechanical parts.
