As the Senior Manager, Market Research, Global Market Intelligence (GMI) you'll be a part of the Global Strategy and Corporate Development team based at Nike's World Headquarters responsible for enabling the organization to make better informed decisions by providing quality data sources and critical analysis to support business management.
You will support development and refinement of secondary/syndicated sources of market size/share data for Asia and Emerging Market countries including identifying the appropriate market research portfolio, building new services to complete the portfolio, data quality control, data issue identification/resolution and management of vendor relationships. Ensure that the data sources are accurate, timely and relevant. Push to evolve and enhance data to meet business needs.
In the role of Market Research Manager will provide research and analytical support on project teams by identifying findings, key trends and competitive activity within the Athletic Footwear and Apparel space. You'll use your strong analytical and communication skills to prepare and deliver key findings to high level clients across the globe. You'll provide thought leadership in areas of expertise and experience, and catalyze action against Nike priorities. You will partner with Strategic Planning functions throughout the organization to create a framework for a project, develop hypothesis to inform data requirements & analysis, synthesize data into a clear and concise story to address the project brief.
Requirements for the position include:
• Bachelor's degree
• An MBA or advanced degree is preferred
• 1 additional year of experience in lieu of an advanced degree
• Business consultancy experience a plus
• 4-5 years' of total experience in Market Research, Analytics or related fields
• Ability to frame a project, develop hypothesis, synthesize multiple data sources into compelling stories
• Experience in using technology to improve efficiencies in reporting and Business Intelligence (Cognos, Excel, and Tableau)
• Proven ability to lead and provide project management support
• Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Superior writing, communication (verbal and visual), and presentation skills
• Proven ability to conduct and/or analyze research related to consumers, industries and competitors
• Experience with NPD, Nielsen, or other syndicated market research preferred
