As a detail-oriented Project Scheduler for Business Operations you will provide support to a government program office in Chantilly VA. You will analyze and document the business needs of our client to help identify business problems and propose solutions. The candidate’s primary duty will be the development of integrated master schedules using MS Project. You will also participate in business planning, needs analysis, program scheduling, execution tracking, cost reporting (EVM), and/or project controls analysis. Responsibilities Include: • Developing, maintaining, and analyzing program / project schedules, including Integrated Master Schedules for complex acquisition programs. • Managing any change requests related to the working project plans daily to meet the agreed deadlines. • Developing Integrated Master Plan (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) documents. • Reviewing and providing technical inputs into contractual documentation such as Statements of Work/ Technical Instructions/Scope of Work revisions and evaluating contracted system developers’ responses for feasibility and completeness. • Coordinating, participating in, and (where appropriate) leading project meetings including Integrated Baseline Reviews, Program Management Reviews, In-Progress Reviews and other key technical interchange meetings. • Continually assessing the status of critical path activities and contractual deliverables to proactively identify and mitigate potential projects risks related to cost, schedule and technical performance. Risk analysis includes the use of tools to conduct schedule risk assessments to assist in establishing project priorities. • Reporting information on the status of task order projects/associated modifications and evaluating the contracted system developers’ execution against the established Performance Measurement Baseline metrics. • Effectively communicating with internal teams and external clients to deliver functional requirements • Evaluating the information gathered through workshops and surveys, business process description and task analysis. Position Requirements:• At minimum, eight to ten years direct relevant experience in program scheduling is required. Similar levels of experience in execution tracking, cost reporting (EVM), and/or project controls analysis in a complex environment, preferably on a technical system development and/or technology deployment project are desired. • High School diploma (with extensive experience); Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or in a highly analytical field of study required; advanced degree desired. • In addition to expert status in Microsoft Project, advanced skills in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel are required. Schedule Risk Assessment software experience desired. • PMI PMP or Defense Acquisition University DAWIA Training desired. Other: This position requires a detail-oriented self-starter who can interact with other technical business professionals and senior management. This position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, and excellent oral and written communication skills.Security Requirements: U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance based upon a SSBI completed within the last 5 years. Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Engineering/Science and ten to twelve years of financial and management experience.
