The Sr. Forecast Analyst is responsible for forecasting inventory demand associated with retail, online and contract customers. This position will work closely with the Forecasting Managers to maintain forecasts by reviewing historical trends and meeting with cross functional teams to understand sales opportunities and category objectives. The Sr. Forecast Analyst uses JDA as the primary forecasting system to identify, troubleshoot and resolve any statistical outliers in inventory forecasting.
Manage daily forecast accuracy and exceptions from system generated reports in JDA that identify forecasting gaps.
Manage changes within the JDA system and make recommendations to Inventory planners and Merchandising Managers to ensure inventory alignment and adjustment to forecasting levels are made.
Regular communication with planners to discuss inventory forecasting to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Collate from planners sales opportunities, product category objectives and seasonality trends and replicate this within the JDA system.
Discuss unusual sales activity that results in large variances with forecasting.
Make adjustments to mean absolute deviation percentage parameters that are outside of tolerance and to validate JDA.
Make all needed sales history or source level adjustments in the system to identify forecasting gaps.
Work with Inventory planners to ensure accurate and timely promotional forecasting and maintenance of promotional forecast within the system.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years experience in related field
Area of study in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Similar
Eperience in Forecasting, Inventory Control, Finance, Purchasing or Merchandising
Fundamental knowledge of PC applications including databases.
Patient/positive attitude with the ability to adapt to many different personalities within the business

Technical Skills> Microsoft Office (i.e., MS Excel)> Perform root cause analysis
