The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst – IT will be responsible for the execution of strategies through strategic sourcing (e.g. supply market analysis, total cost of ownership analysis, competitive negotiations, contracting) to significantly reduce Stericycle costs. This role will closely partner with the Vendor Management team within the IT organization and build relationships with the key stakeholders on that team. This role will be part of a team of strategic sourcing analysts, and will be responsible for achieving savings, managing contract implementation, and tracking impact. The primary goal will be to achieve year-over-year reductions in total costs of goods and services, while maintaining or improving supplier quality and service levels. The position will report to the Manager of Strategic Sourcing.
Development and execution of strategies through the strategic sourcing process: The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst – IT will serve as an expert in the strategic sourcing process within the IT category, including strategy execution, contract negotiations and TCO reductions according to forecast. This individual will drive toward priorities and performance goals of both the IT and Procurement organizations, and may also be responsible for leading strategic sourcing efforts in related commodity areas as necessary/appropriate. 2. Develop and execute the process to select and manage suppliers: Based on each category’s sourcing strategy, the Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst – IT will lead the supplier selection and negotiation process for key sourcing projects. He/she will establish and maintain contractual and business relationships with the senior management of key suppliers. In addition, the Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst – IT will be active in the effort to achieve small and disadvantaged business sourcing content objectives. 3. Measure and track internal performance within each spend category: The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst – IT will track forecasted vs. actual savings for sourced categories and is responsible for communicating performance against these measures and their potential budgetary impact. The Analyst will worth together with stakeholders in the business units to ensure savings are built into budgets and the annual operating plan. 4. Seamless integration and partnership with IT: This individual will be a true partner of the IT team, with regular meetings to build stakeholder relationships and ensure a collaborative sourcing process. 5. Analytics: Track down and consolidate data into a clear, concise, and useful format to support specific negotiations or sourcing projects as a whole.
Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration or Operations Management, or the equivalent in related work experience. Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification preferred.
Three to five years of related procurement experience with a successful track record in the IT category, or three to five years of experience in Management Consulting experience in a top-tier firm.
Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint with working knowledge of Project.
