POSITION PURPOSE

This position is accountable for the coordination, implementation and maintenance of SOP revision and implementation training, as well as, company sponsored training and employee development initiatives for the NY manufacturing plant. These initiatives may include employee orientation and on boarding processes, functional skill based training and management development training.

This position will interact with all levels of the organization including, operations management, plant associates and human resources. The position will serve as a resource in the development and editing of specific training programs, objectives and metrics for determining individual skill utilization and certification as appropriate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

Responsibilities

a. Oversee the orientation programs and learning processes for newly hired plant associates.

b. Develop and maintain a training curriculum with appropriate metrics for use during employee assessment periods as well as for remedial purposes as necessary.

c. Perform training needs analyses based on position requirements.

d. Develop training programs and processes inclusive of writing curriculum, and preparing supporting materials for specific positions as well as for targeted training subjects.

e. Assist with compliance-training programs for OSHA, and assist with the development of programs for FDA, EPA etc.

f. Will maintain records in the Learning Management System.

g. Create and implement auditing programs to ensure training effectiveness.  Responsible for reporting training gaps at Quality Review committee meetings and communicating gaps to appropriate management. 

h. Drives continuous improvement related to all areas of responsibility, driving reduced cost, improved efficiency while maintaining customer satisfaction.

i. All other jobs as assigned.

1. No findings from auditing or inspection agencies

2. Maintain training GAPs within allowances

3. Maintain Curriculum up to date

4. Minimized major system downtime

Job requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelors degree preferred

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Technical proficiency in training development, train the trainer, Microsoft Office Suite.  Knowledge of ADP LMS a plus. 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 3-5 years directly related experience in a training position

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to handle and document compliance information.  Ability to facilitate audits/inspections from outside agencies.  Capable of learning new systems related to training management.

Bilingual Spanish a plus
