RESPONSIBILITIES: Independently solve legal and business administrative problems (requires no special, prior knowledge other than general legal experience). Handle, with supervision, subpoenas, garnishments, and other legal notices. Handle, with supervision, legal billing for litigation matters, including setting up matters, reviewing invoices, and managing engagement process. Create and maintain databases of legal matters, including cases, licenses, and permits as necessary. Maintain litigation files in computer based filing index. Communicate verbally or in writing to requests for information from corporate personnel and outside parties about company legal matters and communicate directly with third parties about legal and business matters. Maintain a calendar to track important dates and events. Keep supervisor informed with a current list of legal projects, issues and activities. Work with outside counsel on litigation matters.
