Responsibilities
The Population Health Evaluation and Analytics Lead
(Business Intelligence Lead) solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Population Health Evaluation and Analytics Lead
works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. Through measurement and analysis, the Population Health Evaluation and Analytics Lead
identifies opportunities for and interprets the impact of population health interventions. Primary responsibilities include:
Supports the execution of the Population Health Strategy for the Ohio Medicaid Market.
Works collaboratively across Ohio Medicaid Market teams to develop appropriate evaluation frameworks to assess program monitoring and effectiveness.
Synthesizes data from multiple internal and external sources in order to create insightful and actionable business information that influences the team's strategy.
Exercises independent judgment and decision making regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision.
Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Prioritizes equity in analyses and evaluation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 8 or more years of related experiences in data analysis OR Master's degree with 4 or more years of related experiences in data analysis.
2 or more years of project and/or people leadership experience.
Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling.
Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
Advanced in SAS, SPSS, Minitab and other statistical data analysis applications.
Experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau and/or Qlikview for creating data visualizations.
Formal training and experience in evaluation and research methodology.
Ability to communicate effectively to senior and executive leadership.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and translating requirements between business, project management and technical projects or programs.
Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
Committed to improving the health of Ohioans and reducing health disparities.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters or PhD in a quantitative discipline, such as Organization Development, Quantitative Psychology, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research or related field.
Proficiency in SQL.
Formal training or certifications in data literacy and health care data analytics.
Previous experience in developing clinical quality metrics and social determinants of health.
Familiar with clinical benchmarking approaches, methodologies and tools (3M, IBM Watson, Advisory Board, clinical registries, CMS).
Knowledge of quality improvement measurement methods and approaches (PDSA, DMAIC, LOGIC Models, etc.).

For this role, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work.
