The candidate will receive subpoenas, respond to or appropriately route subpoenas internally. Assist with the preparation of responsive documents or testimony. Support organization and departmental policies, programs and procedures. Act as a liaison between the legal department and its clients. Prepare releases and settlement agreements for claims settled by in-house counsel. Assist with legal discovery requests by compiling evidentiary materials for hearings, trials, and mediations. Maintain ongoing chronological summary of litigation and employment matters. Prepare quarterly litigation summary for executive review. Conduct legal research of statutory laws and regulations, as requested. Capacity to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities. Maintain direction and focus through proactive planning and organized approaches to work. Ability to effectively communicate with executive management. Ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot problems that may arise. Litigation and employment paralegal working in either a law firm or in-house legal department. Significant experience with technology and systems automation. Demonstrated knowledge of the eDiscovery process including experience with Zylab and Office365 eDiscovery tools. Knowledge of legal terminology related to litigation and employment law. Creating and managing data rooms SharePoint. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Paralegal certification required.
