Senior Paralegal
The candidate acts as lead on key projects. Coordinates production and organization of documents with outside counsel in connection with litigations; analyze documents for potential discovery. Drafts template agreements as directed. Engages in contract negotiation as necessary. Identifies appropriate laws, judicial decisions, and legal arguments that are relevant to assigned matters. On own initiative, follows up on outstanding issues and keeps attorneys informed of status. Prepares, reviews, and modifies standard and complex agreements, including consulting agreements, service agreements, confidentiality agreements and grant agreements. Regularly handles highly confidential matters with discretion and judgment. Researches statutes, regulations and case law and prepares informative material for general use by the attorneys. Serves as a key contributor to legal processes including Promotional Review. A Bachelor's Degree is required; relevant experience may be substituted for a degree where appropriate. Should have 5 years of paralegal experience or other relevant experience. A Paralegal Certification is strongly preferred. Comprehensive understanding of the business and day-to-day operations. Excellent organizational, planning and follow-through skills. Must be a self-starter; flexible; customer-focused; and have a professional demeanor. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
