Senior Legal Counsel
The candidate will have a broad range of work, ranging from: negotiating contracts with clients and vendors; working closely with the client services team and clients’ legal and compliance teams to ensure clients access knowledge safely; navigating complex and novel legal issues; and dealing with evolving areas of law including intellectual property, technology, data privacy/GDPR and employment. Will work closely with the VP of Legal based in New York and the General Counsel based in London. Must have JD degree from a top American law school, BA/BS/LLB from a top university in the UK or other relevant law degree. Should have american attorney licensed in New York or an English qualified solicitor, with c.4-7 years experience at a top firm or in-house. Must have substantial experience in drafting and negotiating client-facing commercial contracts. Experience in dealing with regulatory and securities related matters (a corporate law background is a plus) required.
