Investment Management Attorney
Duties: Join a team that supports proprietary investment products globally. Work directly with the investment team to assist in supporting existing products, as well as assist in the development of new investment products and solutions. Be the legal point of contact for structuring and fund formation of new Alternative Funds, providing legal advice spanning product structuring, fund terms, regulatory compliance, and drafting of private placement memorandums and governing documents. Participate in the planning and implementation of product launches with both our institutional client service and investment management teams. Provide legal advice on the ongoing operation of Alternative Funds, including updates to disclosure documents, advising on investor reporting, and providing advice on new regulatory rules applicable to private funds. Work closely with the Investment Advisor Compliance teams to address compliance matters, including assisting in all regulatory examinations and with respect to policies and procedures in light of constantly changing regulatory requirements and expectations. Provide legal support for the investment management due diligence performed on underlying investment funds into which Alternative Funds invest, including the review of underlying investment fund PPMs and governing agreements. May also have the opportunity to support solution development in other areas of the business outside of investment products, depending on need and capacity. Report to the Managing Director for Investment Management in the Solutions & Investment Management Team within Legal & Compliance Department.
