The candidate provide proactive legal advice to assigned hospitals and healthcare operational units, as assigned; draft, review, and negotiate physician and nonphysician agreements; provide regulatory advice on substantive areas, including, but not limited to: Stark, anti-kickback statute, EMTALA, licensing and certification, patient care and risk management, and other areas related to healthcare operations; work collaboratively on projects or matters related to the management and administration of the Legal Department as requested from time to time by the General Counsel ("GC"), the AGC-Operations, and/or other AGCs. Identifies and analyzes legal issues, drafting key documents, presenting clear recommendations, and assuring legal compliance. To oversee and manage litigation, administrative proceedings and other regulatory (including licensure and certification) proceedings or matters as requested or assigned from time to time, including the management of outside counsel engaged to represent Dignity Health in the litigation or proceeding. Contributes to projects or matters related to the management and administration of the Legal Department as requested from time to time by the General Counsel (“GC”), the AGC-Operations, and/or other AGCs. Draft physician and non-physician agreements based on approved templates; advise leadership on contract negotiations; directly interface with opposing counsel to negotiate key agreements.
