eDiscovery and Information Governance Attorney (BOS/NYC)
The candidate will include the development and execution eDiscovery litigation strategy, including ESI preservation and collection plans, negotiation of eDiscovery protocols and orders, leading eDiscovery meet and confers, responding to discovery requests, drafting pleadings related to eDiscovery litigation, defending and taking discovery-related depositions, analysis of complex evidentiary data sets and issues, managing vendor relationships, and development and management of document review strategy including the use of eDiscovery AI, analytics and predictive technologies. Opportunities and duties also include counseling clients on information governance issues, such as legal hold and preservation processes, information management and records retention, data privacy, and cyber security. Should have 3+ years of experience litigating and managing eDiscovery issues in complex litigation, as well as familiarity in areas of law and compliance associated with records retention, data privacy, cyber security, digital forensics, computer science, and/or information technology. Must be admitted to Massachusetts or New York Bar; excellent, effective, and persuasive written and verbal communication skills; exceptional presentation, organizational, and project management skills; outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities. Motivation to learn and understand technology, effectively discuss those issues with technically skilled individuals, and convey findings and impacts for people without technology experience; proficiency in the use of eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, Everlaw, NexLP, Brainspace, Disco, etc., and general familiarity with forensic tools such as Axiom, FTK, and EnCase; strong experience with the records retention and data privacy; ability to manage a fast-paced workload while maintaining priorities and anticipating issues; good judgment and the ability to apply legal knowledge to problem solve by developing practical business solutions; strong research skills and knowledge of eDiscovery jurisprudence. Experience working in and with remote teams and the commitment and interpersonal skills to succeed in a collaborative and team environment are a must.
