The candidate support juvenile court proceedings for the Division of Children and Family Services's Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Centers. Will represent Agency as a Special Assistant Attorney General in juvenile court proceedings, serving as one of the agency's primary YRTC litigators. Appear in various child welfare and juvenile justice court proceedings across the state, and may serve as the primary YRTC courtroom attorney for the Southeastern, Eastern, or Central & Western Service Areas. Provide litigation support to the agency and Attorney General's Office as needed, which may include the handling of appeals filed with the Nebraska appellate courts on behalf of the agency. May conduct privilege reviews for compliance with public records requests and discovery requests, as needed.
