The Enterprise Controllership team supporting the Disney Media Distribution (DMD) and the Disney-ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution (DAHETD) group is seeking a qualified candidate for a Financial Accounting Analyst position.
DMD is the international television and digital media distribution division of The Walt Disney Company. DMD licenses more than 30,000 hours of programming to over 1,300 broadcasters and eTailers across 240 territories worldwide. Its portfolio includes motion pictures from Walt Disney Pictures, Pixar, Marvel and Lucas Films, ABC Studios TV series, TV movies and miniseries, Disney-branded kids programs, ABC Daytime and ABC News programming, as well as the Academy Awards®.
DAHETD is the content distribution arm for The Walt Disney Company within the United States and Canada. An industry leader, the division provides The Walt Disney Company's branded and non-branded top-tier motion picture and television programming to a wide spectrum of traditional and new media platforms. An opportunity exists to join these dynamic businesses as a Financial Accounting Analyst in its Billing and Accounts Receivable team.
Managing the generation and distribution process of invoices interfaced from Zeus and Mediamorph systems for 18 legal entities
In charge of invoicing and cash application process in SAP for DMD customers and assist in the reconciliation of unapplied payments
Resolving discrepancies and billing issues with clients
Assisting Senior Financial Analysts on quarter-end bad debt calculation and booking process
Completing government survey reports on a quarterly basis
Various Ad hoc projects
At least one year experience in an accounting or finance environment
Microsoft office suite with strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, basic IF formulas, etc.)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be an excellent team player who possesses strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Exhibit a willingness to be adaptable and flexible, and demonstrate a desire to operate in a dynamic environment
Entertainment industry experience
Previous experience in accounts receivable/cash management department
International experiences and exposure to foreign exchange rate issues
Experience working with SAP
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
