Litigation Paralegal

The candidate will be drafting legal documents, correspondence, memos, etc. Drafting various pleadings and incorporation of documents. Trial preparation includes organizing discovery documents, preparing exhibits, bates labeling, organization of client files, etc. Filing and recording documents with the appropriate offices/courts. Maintaining client documents and emails in client workspaces. Preparation of case notebooks and deposition summaries. Manages litigation support and information management systems; compliant with e-discovery rules and regulations. Manages document production process – hard copy, electronic, etc. Assists with the collection of materials, hard copy, electronic data, and physical evidence. Designs and implements document review systems to track materials through the process. Manages logistics of production of documents – hard copy & images. Makes relevant documents and information quickly and easily available. Designs and manages databases (e.g. Summation, Relativity). Other duties as assigned. A Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification from an accredited source is required. Should preferably have 3-5 years of paralegal experience. Must be skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have excellent writing and communication skills and interact with clients, court officials, and vendors in a professional manner. Must have high-level experience with a range of litigation support applications. Must be able to perform efficiently in a team-oriented environment. Excellent analytical and organizational abilities, creativity, and initiative are required. Must have the ability to utilize computer programs designed for case management.
