The candidate will help effectively solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action. Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed. Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases. Attend court proceedings as needed to ensure effective representation for clients. Collaborate with senior partners, multiple attorneys, and paralegals both in-person and virtual to effectively move files through the civil litigation process. Consult with potential clients to ascertain their needs and decide on the next steps. Engage in matter management to ensure all cases move forward in a timely manner. Confirm all work from the Firm is consistent and quality-reviewed for case law and written content/clarity. An undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree is required. Should have 5+ years experience working in a law firm on family law issues, with sufficient experience to work independently on certain cases and retain new clients. Should have license to practice law in North Carolina; South Carolina is a plus.
