Aon is looking for an Associate Broker- Crisis ManagementAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Risk, in Chicago, Illinois.Your impact as an Associate Broker- Crisis ManagmentCurrently, we have an exciting career opportunity for an Associate Broker in our Chicago Office supporting our Crisis Management Group, specifically with the political risk team. Department Overview: Aon Crisis Management delivers a unique broking proposition, bringing consistent and total risk management, on a global basis, to the perils of political risk, terrorism, political violence and product recall & contamination.Going beyond traditional risk transfer solutions, our global network of product specialists offers a full range of consultancy services that concentrate on each aspect of the risk management approach. Through experience in the marketplace, and a relentless approach to find innovative solutions for our clients, each team of specialists provide risk management plans that transfer, avoid, accept, and mitigate exposure enabling clients to quantify their risk exposure and make informed decisions on the optimum balance between risk retention, risk management and risk transfer. Our team of specialist brokers, consultants and in-house claims management combine threat assessment, impact analysis and crisis management and response with individually structured insurance programs. Our unique, consultative approach enables our clients to implement the most appropriate measures to meet their duty of care and better protect their balance sheet, brand and reputation.Job Responsibilities:Provide outstanding and timely service and support to clients, relationship managers and originatorsIdentify and analyze client exposuresFacilitate the compilation of submission information in conjunction with clients, relationship managers, originators and service center supportFinalize market submissions.Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of products and services, developing productive business relationships with key insurance underwritersMay facilitate and/or participate in client/broker strategy meetings. Provide status updates and continuous support and service to clients during entire placement process and entire period of engagement by client (this is a continuous process)Handle and monitor premiums to prevent policy cancellationDrive utilization of all available technology throughout placement process and client service process, including managing files for each client or prospect.Develop, execute and implement client service planAdhere to all best practicesReplicate effective products/solutions Handles daily work within established guidelines and receives general instructions on newly introduced assignments.Adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior in all activitiesSpecial Skills: Candidate must have good analytical skills, with a focus on client operations, financials, and industry expertise. The position requires strong multi-tasking abilities and client facing skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word. Power Point. Self-proclaimed self-starter. Excellent communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to deal with people are a must. Minimum Required Experience: Strong knowledge of global industry and business environments. 1 year of job experience a plus. Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree in International Relations, Political Science, International Economics or related field with MBA considered a plus.
