Role Value Proposition:
The incumbent will perform a variety of technology project and program management functions for the organization. Projects and Programs are varied in size, nature, complexity, and often involve coordination and oversight of resources across organizations.
MetLife Investments Management – Technology Group is looking for a full-time software development engineering manager with 7 years of experience to assist with the design, development, testing, implementation and support of MetLife Investment Management – Client Account Management Technology Group
Manages large scale projects and/or programs and associated resources. Creates and administers project and/or program plan and determines scope and deliverables. Identifies resources needed, assembles project/program team, assigns individual responsibilities. Oversees and recommends options for one or more highly complex enterprise wide portfolios consisting of multiple projects. Gathers, synthesizes and presents requested information to establish standards and report discrepancies.
Responsible for end-to-end design, development, testing/QA, implementation and operational support of MIM Client and Account Management systems
Analyze complex requirements, procedures and translate to SQL queries
Responsible for developing design documentation to show processing logic, produce concise technical specifications
Provide on-going support for daily/monthly external client data delivery; this includes troubleshooting SQL queries, database, TWS and file transfer issues; ensuring responsiveness of applications
Adhere to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and MetLife Change Management standards
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Proficient knowledge of project/program management practices, principles, concepts.
Advanced knowledge of technology concepts and software development life cycle methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication including leadership and negotiation.
Capable of managing offshore teams and/or vendors with advanced financial acumen.

Experience with version control Team Foundation Server, or git/github/bitbucket urban Code Deploy and TWS, SFTP, MFT as well as SQL queries
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
7 years of related work experience in relational database design/ ETL development; supporting Investment Management/Financial Reporting Platforms, Integration and Reporting Services experience (SSIS, SSRS)
Investment/Asset Management business knowledge & data flow
Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment
