Environmental and Land Use Attorney
The candidate must possess a law degree from an accredited law school. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin. Under the direction of the Adjutant General, through the Department’s general counsel, provide legal services in the area of, environmental and land use law, real estate law, contracts, emergency management law, including the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA). Duties may include providing legal and policy advice to individuals and entities such as the Adjutant General, Deputy Adjutants General, WEM Administrator, Executive Assistant, OEC Director, state directors, staff members and the Interoperability Council and its subcommittees as requested, appearing before administrative proceedings and other legal duties as assigned. Also have experience with: Ensuring organizational compliance with the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPRCA). Drafting of administrative rules and legislation regarding environmental and land use matters.
