Adjunct Faculty Paralegal Certificate Program
The candidate will be responsible for: Develop and administer substantive course content. Develop and administer assignments and other activities that accurately assess the students’ learning and provide timely feedback on any such assignments. Create a syllabus that meets Program and CPS requirements. Prepare and submit accurate attendance rosters, student grades, book orders, leave reports, and/or other assigned documents when due. Learn and effectively utilize CPS digital resources such as Blackboard and Novasis to administer tests, record attendance, and submit grades. Hold classes on time and for the full duration of the published class time. Conduct in a professional manner all class hours as assigned by the course schedule and academic calendar. Attend CPS faculty meetings (typically once per semester). Create and maintain alternative educational activities that students may use in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Support and adhere to all CPS policies and procedures. Must have Bachelor’s degree. Recent experience working as or with paralegals required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Should have strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Previous teaching experience preferred. J.D. preferred.
