Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is looking to hire a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney with expertise in drafting complex cases. This role primarily focuses on extensive discovery and motion practice in civil litigation matters, including but not limited to insurance bad faith, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, and wrongful death. The position does not require trial work or depositions, making it ideal for individuals with a preference for drafting and case preparation over court appearances.

Duties:

• Manage and draft complex legal documents related to civil litigation cases.
• Conduct comprehensive discovery and motion practice in high-stakes cases.
• Analyze and interpret complex legal issues with precision and accuracy.
• Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to ensure case progression and strategy development.
• Work closely with clients and senior attorneys to prepare case materials for potential trials (excluding direct trial work).
• Maintain consistent communication with clients and provide regular updates on case developments.

Requirements:

• Significant experience in civil litigation, with a focus on complex legal cases.
• Exceptional drafting skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills to navigate and resolve intricate legal challenges.
• Team-oriented approach with a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Valid Bar license to practice law in New Mexico.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
